Create your first army list to get started. Here's everything you need to know:
Welcome to the Army Builder! This tool helps you create, manage, and validate your Legions Imperialis army lists using the official construction rules from Games Workshop.
Getting Started
- Create New Army – Click '+ Create New Army' button to begin. Give your army a name, select your faction, allegiance, and points limit.
- Add Formations – Click '+ Add Formation' to add formations to your army. Formations are the building blocks of your force.
- Fill Formation Slots – Each formation has compulsory and optional slots. Click on empty slots to add detachments.
- Configure Detachments – Customize each detachment's loadout, upgrades, and model count as allowed by the rules.
Army Building Rules
- 70/30 Rule – At least 70% of your points must come from your Primary Army List
- Compulsory Slots – Each formation has required slots that must be filled
- Minimum Formations – Armies require a minimum number of formations based on points (1 per 1500pts)
- Detachment Sizes – Models can be added to detachments up to their maximum allowed size
Validation & Legality
The builder automatically validates your army list against official rules:
Green = Legal armyAmber = WarningsRed = Errors
Saving & Sharing
- Click Save to save your army to local storage
- Use Export to copy your list as text or JSON
- Use Share to generate a shareable link
- Sign in to sync your armies across devices
Pro Tips
- • Click on formation names to add a nickname for easy identification
- • Use the 'View List' button to see a print-friendly summary
- • Allied contingents can be added from compatible factions
- • Astartes formations can be assigned to specific Legions
