Errata v1.228 entriesMarch Orders clarified: the restriction is on firing in the First Fire and Advancing Fire stages.
“Each model within a Detachment issued with the March Order may move up to a number of inches equal to twice its Movement characteristic. Models in a Detachment issued a March Order may not fire during the First Fire or Advancing Fire stages of the Combat phase.”View core rule
A Movement of '-' now also prevents Embarking/Disembarking; such models are destroyed if forced to Withdraw.
“A Movement characteristic of '-' means models in the Detachment cannot move, cannot Embark or Disembark from a Transport and the characteristic cannot be modified in any way. If such a model is required to Withdraw from a Combat, it is destroyed.”View core rule
Only Advance Orders must be activated in the Advancing Fire stage (the printed text also listed First Fire Orders).
“All Detachments issued with an Advance Order must be activated in this stage, though they can be activated and do nothing.”View core rule
Resolve Hits: a Hit can be allocated to any model that is an eligible target for a model in the firing Detachment (not just the specific firing model).
“A model can only be allocated a Hit if it is an eligible target for a model in the firing Detachment — in most instances, this means the allocated model must be in range and line of sight of a firing model.”View core rule
Garrisoning into an Engagement Zone is allowed (but not into Engagement); only Infantry in base contact count as Engaged with Garrisoned Detachments.
“A Detachment can Garrison a Structure if this would bring it within the Engagement Zone of an enemy model, but not if it would cause them to become Engaged. Infantry models in base to base contact with the Structure count as Engaged with all enemy Detachments Garrisoned within the Structure.”View core rule
Embarking is now limited to Transports from the same Army List.
“Models can only Embark onto Transport Models from the same Army List.”View core rule
Breakthrough: the supply-carrying Detachments noted at the start of round 1 may be either deployed on the battlefield or Embarked within a deployed Transport.
“At the start of the first round, before any Order tokens are placed, the player with this Secondary Objective secretly notes down up to five friendly Detachments that are either deployed on the battlefield or Embarked within a Transport that is deployed on the battlefield to be carrying some supplies.”View core rule
Added: Burrowing weapons cannot target Flyers.
“Weapons with the Burrowing trait cannot target Flyers.”View weapon trait
Engine Killer (and its Rend interaction) now also affects Vehicles, not just Super-heavy Vehicles, Knights and Titans.
“When a Vehicle, Super-heavy Vehicle, Knight or Titan suffers a Wound caused by a weapon with the Engine Killer (X) trait, they suffer a number of additional Wounds equal to the number shown in brackets. If a weapon has the Engine Killer (X) trait and the Rend trait, enemy Vehicles, Super-heavy Vehicles, Knights and Titans suffer a number of additional Wounds equal to the number shown in brackets if they lose a Fight against the model that has that weapon.”View weapon trait
Quake now applies to the target's next move and next firing (the printed version lasted until the end of the round).
“If one or more Hits are scored against a Detachment by a weapon with the Quake trait: the next time that Detachment moves, halve the Movement characteristic of all models within that Detachment; the next time that Detachment fires, subtract 1 from the result of any Hit rolls the Detachment makes. This Trait is ignored if all Hits scored by a weapon with this Trait are allocated to a target's Void Shields.”View weapon trait
Shock Pulse now applies to the target's next move and next firing, and the firing limit is one weapon per model.
“If one or more Hits are scored against a Vehicle, Super-heavy Vehicle, Knight or Titan Detachment by a weapon with the Shock Pulse trait: the next time that Detachment moves, halve the Movement characteristic of all models within that Detachment; the next time that Detachment fires, it can only fire with a maximum of one weapon per model.”View weapon trait
Clarified: all Skyfire weapons in a Detachment firing at a Secondary Target must target the same Detachment, unless another rule overrides this.
“All Skyfire weapons in a Detachment firing at a Secondary Target must target the same Detachment, unless another rule overrides this.”View weapon trait
Against Knights and Titans the Dice value is now 1 (previously it was equal to the target's remaining Wounds).
“If targeting a Knight or Titan, then the Dice value of the weapon is 1.”View weapon trait
Added: Automated Sentry models have a Tactical Strength of 0.
“Models in a Detachment with this special rule have a Tactical Strength of 0 and this cannot be modified in any way.”View special rule
Scatter rules updated (off-battlefield destroys the Detachment; moving away now applies to any model and Objective markers) and Overwatch timing clarified.
“If the model scatters off the battlefield, into an area of Impassable terrain or onto a Structure then that model, and the model's Detachment, are destroyed. If it scatters within 1" of another model or onto an Objective marker, it must be moved the shortest possible distance so it is no longer within 1" of any other models or on an Objective marker. An Overwatch called against a Detachment that has Deep Striked is resolved after all Models have been set up, and all other effects of that Deep Strike have been resolved, including Disembarking from Models with the Transport (X) special rule and the effects of the Orbital Assault special rule.”View special rule
Added: Drop Pod models have a Tactical Strength of 0.
“Models in a Detachment with this special rule have a Tactical Strength of 0 and this cannot be modified in any way.”View special rule
Added: Flyers cannot call Overwatch during the Movement phase.
“Models with the Flyer special rule cannot call Overwatch during the Movement phase.”View special rule
Clarified: the Forward Deployment move happens after Infiltrating Detachments have deployed.
“After both players have deployed their armies, including Infiltrating Detachments, but before the first round of the battle, if all models in a Detachment have the Forward Deployment special rule, the Detachment may make a special move.”View special rule
Added: a Detachment deployed via Infiltrate cannot be issued a Charge Order during the first round.
“A Detachment that is deployed in this way cannot be issued a Charge Order during the first round.”View special rule
Reworked: now a single command — select one other friendly Detachment within 6" that has yet to activate; its Order is replaced with one it was eligible for in the Orders phase.
“A Detachment that contains one or more models with this special rule may issue a command when it is activated. If the controlling player chooses to do so, they may select one other friendly Detachment that has yet to be activated this round, and is within 6" of one or more models with this special rule that are being activated. The selected Detachment's Order token is discarded and replaced with a different Order they were eligible to be issued during the Orders phase of this round.”View special rule
Added: models can only Embark onto Transports from the same Army List.

Clarified: the earlier Hits must come from a different Detachment in the same Formation as the firing model.
“An Ultramarines model may re-roll any Hit rolls of a 1 when firing upon an enemy Detachment that has already had one or more Hits scored against it this round by an Ultramarines model from a different Detachment in the same Formation as the firing model.”
Clarified: never counting as Broken means any normally eligible Order can be issued, not just Advance or Charge.
“Detachments within a Word Bearers Formation never count as Broken for the purposes of being issued an Order, i.e., they can be issued any Order they normally could instead of just the Advance Order or Charge Order.”
Clarified: applies per Formation made up entirely of Alpha Legion Detachments in an Army (ignoring Allied Contingents).
“At the start of the battle, before any Detachments are deployed, for each Formation made up entirely of Alpha Legion Detachments in an Army (ignoring Allied Contingents), the controlling player may select up to 3 Alpha Legion Detachments in the Army to be affected by Mutable Tactics.”
